Gold Coast Australia would like to advise that at 0844 UTC 01 MAY 12 we crossed the Remedious gate in position 12 41.9N 090 37.6W. The Bearing to the western Remedious waypoint was 220 T Range 214nm. In accordance with the alteration to the sailing instructions we have now finished race 10 with a very good result.

I am ecstatic with my crews performance in light fickle winds and extreme heat. Team Gold Coast Australia sailed like true professionals over the past few days making the most of wind shifts and squeezing every drop of speed that Gold Coast Australia had to offer.

I would like to congratulate the other yachts on their performance in such challenging conditions, particularly De Lage Landen who were without their navigation computer and weather information for the majority of the race and who have sailed a fantastic race.

The last few hours of the race dolphins guided us towards the finish line as we left a long trail of phosphorescence in our wake making it a near perfect finish.
