You’re racing, Its cold, it’s windy, it’s wet, everybody is tired, you are miles from anywhere. We are racing hard against another boat and sombody breaks their leg in two places.
As a leader you must stay cool, contact emergeny authorities, change your route to the nearest medical facility, contact race office and officials, organise immediate first aid, encourage your team and most of all, make sure everybody is SAFE.
